The station is designed as a subsurface station and is part of the Nevsko-Vasileostrovskaya line start-up facilities that include ‘Novokrestovskaya’ and ‘Begovaya’ stations. In the future a cognominal parallel transfer station is planned to be constructed as part of the Lakhtinsko- Pravoberezhnaya line.
The slurry wall serves both as a load-bearing and protecting structure
First time in the history of Saint Petersburg Metro construction the top-down technology was used.
Ancon CXL technology of the mechanical joining of rebar is being used for construction of the top slabs and the station itself.
Under the shelter of the slabs there has been started the preparation of the foundation pit. At the baseline of the pit there will be laid a concrete slab of the next level, and after that the construction workers will proceed with the third level. Temporary openings have been prepared for ground excavation and supplying the construction materials to the site.
