ANCON CXL type А parallel threaded couplers were used for joining the rebar of the pylons.
The ability to withstand cyclic loads (2 mil. Cycles) was the main reason why Ancon coupling joints were used for construction of the cable-stayed bridge in the seismic area (seismic rating of the area is 7 to 9)
OJSC Central Scientific Research Institute of Construction ‘R&D centre ‘Mosty’ has developed the project-specific list of Standard Operation Procedures on using ANCON couplers.
The decision to use ANCON couplers was approved by the Directorate of Total Redevelopment of the OJSC ‘Russian Railways’, OJSC ‘STROY-TREST’ and OJSC ‘Institute Hyprostroymost’
